I agree with Cranker, anyone can build a team with a little bit of effort. Use auctions, trade for extra picks, attend the draft. I started with crap two years ago. I had half a roster. I was in the Stanley Cup finals two seasons ago. This isn't about giving away good players, it's just trying to promote activity.

How I'm I bitching ? I was making a valid point. I honestly did not care and i still don't care about losing an 88 who was a legend for Nail Yakupov.

See, your attitude proves my point why we shouldn't give up our players to the 30th placed Panthers.

Why should the Stanley cup team give him one of their top 3 players if they just won the cup?

I was saying this thread is pointless nothing is going to change I thought you out of all people would of known that since you've been here for a while and seen countless of similar threads made. How was I complaining about my team ? And if anything it supports what Cor said about the system being broken . I usually just come on check the standings and some odd games and then log out. I have tried trading with teams but I usually get the same response . "I don't feel like moving him " "I like my Cor-e" ( no pun intended).Then in return I'm barmbarded by terrible offers from teams. I do admit I havnt done enough as a GM but your honestly gonna twist what I ment and after that use me as an example to defend defend yourself in an argument with Montreal ?

@fla, yeah..... you gave up an 88 for a what? 80? You helped the stacking process.....
@mtl, the whole concept of "not being able to afford players" is mute.... we aren't a cap league... also LA just won the cup and they are fine. The only real team that had to get rid of salary was the Hawks....
Again, that idea is punishing the cup winner for having a good team. Why should Pittsburgh have to give up Crosby to the worst team, just because he won the cup? Makes ZERO sense. Why should NJD have to give up Malkin?

You just said don't bother MTL, nothing is going to change, which is a complaint. Do you think people are going to jump on trading their 90 for three of your crapp 83s? Really think about it. I'm not going to tell you how to make your team better, but their obviously is a way. You say that you get a ton of crappy offers from teams? It's like that for all of us, especially with your offers. |

With my offers ? I don't ever recall sending you offers and he wasn't my best player , I had brad Richards and Patrick Marleau . I really wanted Yakupov so I figured might as well. I didn't want to auction any of my young players so I got rid of the legend. My team made it to the of the playoffs that same season. If I didn't care about my team believe me it would look a whole lot different.
