yeah maybe switch the keepers to 6, and boost the number of players lost to the draft to 7.
More depth to build around and better players for the top 10-20 picks.
Win-Win.

I've said this about 1000 times now, every time this has been brought up, but still no one seems to listen. Hopefully you will now and we can put this debate to bed as it should have been long long ago.
Do we have a parity issue in the league? Absolutely not, look at how many different teams and general managers have won the cup here. Do the stacked teams win the Cup every year? Absolutely not. We've had 8th seeds win the Cup on here multiple times, along with teams nobody could have forseen as a Cup winner. And people keep mentioning my depth amongst others for some reason, like my team was hand-crafted by god himself or something. I have 1 title in 17 seasons here. To use that number as an example, the Florida Panthers have the same number of Stanley Cups as I do on here.
And to those of you knocking the teams possessing powerful top-8 cores that they have worked countless hours to build together through hundreds, if not thousands of trades, acting like you should get them for free through a draft rather than getting them through trades like we did, give it a fucking rest already. My team did not start on day 1 with Crosby, Ovechkin, Kane, Stamkos, St. Louis, Doughty, Miller, Morrow and Chara in the fold, neither did Jersey with Kovalchuk, Malkin, Stevens, Coffey, etc., or anyone else here that applies.
Look through our history of Cup winners and see if you can pick out a dynasty. To save you some time, you won't be able to. This league is NOT unfair by any means and if you start to feel as such, I suggest you leave because my patience is beginning to get tested by these constant requests from non-contenders for free shots at superstars because they are simply too lazy to build slowly through auctions like Cranker and Lilwayne (amongst others) did.
Thanks for reading.

I still haven't adjusted to this league I'm better in cap league's with ratings.I didn't know this issue has been brought up many times but can the good teams at least highlight the players on their roster who they are not willing to move at all ?

Problem with your statement Pens is you DID start with Malkin/Crosby/Fluery and who knows who else so yeah, you kinda did have a stacked team. Regardless, not one post has said teams didnt work hard to get what they have but the draft is one big fucked up cycle of players that only changes as new games come out. You wanna know why GM's dont even bother to show up anymore? thats your answer. I dont care that you have pretty much every superstar that plays today. i care about the players who sit on GM's benches that SHOULD be playing and would play for a team that could use them. Logically with the players on your team (im just using your team as an example) you should be 82-0 and win the cup with a sweep every season. IDK why the game is so fucked up it doesnt recognize this.
Either way eventually somthing's gotta give. Either GM's will get fed up and leave and the site may die or your gonna have to eventually change how the Draft/Keepers are done.
Getting pissed off at people for speaking their minds isnt helping though.

I have no problem with teams like Pens, Devils, Canucks, Yotes etc that have been here since the beginning and have put in the time and effort needed to build strong teams. I just think some gm's find it frustrating when they have a hard time making deals for upgrades when no one is willing to move any of their better players, which is understandable. I have players on my team that I'm glad I was able to acquire and have no intention of trading for a while. But I do think that the teams that are struggling are the ones that don't have any assets to start with. I was lucky enough to start with one good player that I was able to move for a lot of smaller pieces. I'm just hoping my team is more competitive when NHL 12 is released.

I would Florida. But as everybody knows I am willing to trade anybody, it is pointless for me to say I have untouchables. I have had just about everybody in the league (accept Crosby). Bossy is my favorite player and I have traded him 4 or 5 times now. So if you need a higher rated player to get somebody in auctions, your best bet is probably me. LOL

One thing for you guys with unstacked teams. Just a tip. Rarely do supertars on your 2nd line work at all. You can get good 80-83 players that will produce as well or better from the 2nd line than the superstars do. That is why I don't bother with 2nd line superstars anymore

I read Pens big up post, and then Leafs rebuttal. I'm gonna toss in my final 2 cents.
For me, it's not so much that certain teams are stacked (I had a fairly good squad in Edmonton, and a good group of players now) it's the fact that a 1st overall pick is usually a useless 85 at most. (See Elias for example). Elias is useless unless you're one of the people that constantly use auctions. I for one do not find auctions fun, usually you HAVE to be around at the last minute to win anything and I usually forget. I doubt I'm not the only one that doesn't care much for auctions. In no way am I suggesting getting rid of auctions because they do work, and probably the majority of members like them and utilize them. However, I love the drafting part, I find it the most fun thing to do, but every draft we have the same 10-15 guys (and even then guys like Wild/Devs [nothing against you guys, just an example] leave for 2-3-4 rounds at a time). If we managed to boost the attendance at the draft to at least 20 guys then it'd be a lot more fun. ~50% of the draft usually is autos or lists. If we could make it so one in every 3 drafts is 6 keepers, or 7 keepers as opposed to the normal 8 activity at the draft would be a lot higher.
I don't understand how you and Yotes don't get frustrated with the turnout at the draft, it's a lot of work and half the guys don't turn up. I understand that we'll never get everyone there for the whole thing - I've missed drafts before, people have shit to do I get that, but it's just more fun if more guys show up and changing the amount of keepers once in a while to make the draft class better would be a good way to do it.
Anyways that's all. I doubt anything will be done, but hey, nothing wrong with expressing an opinion.
