So when you set up the keeper lists, make everyone toss their team beside their Players (Bob Smith 80 PLY PIT), and once a team has lost 5 players, remove all of their remaining available players from the draft list.

Unfortunatly this would make for very long drafts. We would have to keep track of how many players each team has lost as well as the whole change over would take weeks. That is what we have tried to avoid. Other leagues activity suffers becuase of how long the off seasons take. I'm not interested at all in going in that direction. I like activity to stay the way it is. I am sure that if people want to trade 83's for 79-80 players on teams, most people would like to be offered that. I know I would jump at it.

Not if you do what I said. Every player has the team name beside them. So everyone can see when a team is at its 5 players. Really simple actually.

It would still take days to do the draft. We would have to update more lists to make sure teams only lose 5 players and considering most teams only send lists, list won't work anymore. Definitely won't be done in one night like it is now. Maybe one or two RDs a night if we are lucky

Ugh... I see what 'Canes is saying, in that it would create a little more parity among the teams in the league, but I do agree with you 'Yotes... It would take a helluva lot more time to do the draft, which no one around here wants. lol
