Well folks, it's that time of the season again. The trade deadline has passed, and teams are going full steam into the stretch drive for the playoffs, and ultimately for a few teams, the shot at Stanley Cup glory. The smoother this runs, the faster I can set up the draft order and other things related to making sure we have a smooth off-season as we switch gears into Season 28.
For those in need of a quick refresher, the keeper rules are as follows.
- You may protect ANY 8 skaters on your team, and they will not enter the draft as a result. All goaltenders (starters AND backups) are AUTOMATICALLY PROTECTED and thus, will not enter our drafts.
- After your 8 keepers have been decided, the next highest 5 rated skaters on your team will enter the draft pool and thus, be lost from your team at the conclusion of Season 27. If there is a tie in overalls for the last player sliding into the draft, you may choose who stays on your team and who goes in instead.
- Please post your FULL ROSTER in order of highest overall to lowest in your list (with proper player types AND positions included as well), not just your keepers and guys you believe are entering. No exceptions with this, any attempt to cheat your way out of a losing a player you may not be able to keep will not be tolerated, and will result in an immediate firing from your position as a General Manager.
- Any errors in these lists will result in them being considered invalid when the deadline for submissions hits, which means I will end up doing your keeper list for you in order of highest overall, which will likely result in you losing a few good players you intended to keep.
- You may submit these, and make edits to your list as you feel necessary at any time from now until the conclusion of the Season 27 Stanley Cup Playoffs, at which point the thread will be locked, and the remaining teams who did not submit a list will not only have theirs done automatically, but will potentially be subject to removal from the league.
Now that all that technical business is done, let's get this done quickly and properly. Best of luck to all in the journey towards the Cup this season, and onward.
Also, a reminder that since I keep track of all pick transactions myself now, you no longer have to post your picks along with your lists. You must use the following color-coding in your lists for them to be deemed accurate:
GREEN = Keeper (8 Players)
BLUE = Auto-Keeper (All Goalies Only)
RED = Into Draft (Next Highest 5 Players)
BLACK = Neutral (All the Leftover Players)
