We need to have a 25 man roster limit. Right now all the auctions are just the top teams improving there minor league teams and a complete waste of my time and the others that are trying to build teams. Rookie's don't ever play for teams unless they are picked up by some of the bottom teams. Last year was an easy choice for ROY as there was only one that played the whole season.

<--- Likes his depth. I've already given like 6 players to the auctions from 3 wins.

Whatever the actual maximum number of players you can put on a team in season mode is (I believe it's 30) should be the maximum.

That would be 24 then as that is all that can be on the NHL team

When does it start kicking players off the teams in season mode though? I believe that's 30.
I know the actual NHL limit is 23, but keep in mind they have the AHL which you can send players down to.

I think he means before you enter season mode. In your roster management guide.

yes that would be 30. I still have to figure out were they shipped Reinprecht to. 30 still leaves 10 guys on in minors for each team. So roughly 15 out 20 auctions will be for the minor leagues while the teams with 20 guys would have started them. An 80 in the minors should be a 79 the next year.

As I've noted multiple times, teams NEED to be below 30 players for simplicity's sake (cough DEVILS cough) I have 28 or 29 I believe, so I'm good.

You can't just spring it on us though. That's not fair. Slowly make it lower. We've never had a cap on the roster. I'm only at 34 now, including my goalies. Like I said, I've used like 5 or 6 for 3 wins in auctions..

I'm at 34 including goalies. But a lot of my guys wouldn't be tradeable because I have a lot of 77/78s. Very few teams will trade for 77/78s so I'm not even sure how I'd get rid of some of my guys.

well then I would appreciate it if people would make a note which team they are bidding with. Vancouver-Manitoba Pittsburgh-Wilkes Barre NewJersey-Albany. I'm sure there are a few more that have minor league teams

I will be enforcing the 30-man roster limit as of the start of next year (I don't believe there are many teams that have more than 30 players other than NJ, Edmonton and maybe Vancouver, but I'm not sure off the top of my head) and that should simplify things for now.
Any teams that have more than 30 players as of the start of next season will have players removed from their roster and thrown into the FA auction pool. And in order for teams to participate in bonus rounds, I will now check to make sure they can add 2 players to their roster without going over 30.

I do, I posted above Yotes.
I'll try and get rid of as many as I can through auctions, I'm such a swell guy I'd be willing to try and help out that way!
