I was thinking since the site has been going strong for 15 seasons perhaps it would be nice to start all over again with a fantasy draft.
Now I know all you GM's who have superstars on every line are probably saying NOOOOO but looking through the Draft list some GMS have 15 - 20 players that arent even being used. And since you were able to get all those skills through trades or FA it shouldnt take long to rebuild and may boost activity and trades. (Gotta admit trades have been down as of late)
I personally think it would be exciting to start fresh with a whole new roster and see what can be done.
Thoughts anyone?

No thanks. There are enough leagues around that are fairly new to allow you, me and everyone else to "start fresh".

Agreed. There are a lot of players sitting on other teams benches that would be starters on most teams. I understand the teams with the deep benches are probably the teams that have been here since the beginning. Maybe we could look at a roster limit or something for the amount of players we can carry.
I'm not just saying this because my team sucks, but if you look at the standings it's the same teams that always finish at the bottom. I've really worked at improving my roster over the past 3 seasons but it makes it difficult when the draft has the same players in it every season and you can't get anyone significant in the auctions because the same few teams are able to outbid you.

Plus, fantasy drafts take FOREVER to finish. It would be a randomized draft that would take no time at all to be done. And ya there are other sites to "start fresh" but none like here. Im expecting most teams with star players to say no as they dont want to have to do anything to their rosters. Im just wondering how far we will go until all rosters have 83's-84's sitting on the bench.

It's not a matter of not wanting to do anything with our rosters. It takes time to make a dominate team, and get players you want, that's the reason the teams with stars on their team won't like the idea.
Hate to burst this bubble, but Pens would never do this.

If this was to ever happen, the better teams should get prioriety pick, and even 3 picks in a row or something like that, as a reward.
But this will never happen anyways

If it would make everybody happy, and I know my wife would kill me for even mentioning it. EA NHL Sim 2.0. You have the same team you have here with radomized rosters. Don't know how much that would shake things up. But I could sim 3 or 4 days in each league per day. I would most likely be quitting any other leagues I am in, but. The players used would be the exact same ones as here. I won't be creating a bunch of new ones.

Personally, if you were going to create another sim league where you are the simmer, I'd like to see a cap league. I think you have garnered enough trust as being the most consistant and best simmer out there and the cap league would be as popular as this one. However, we would need to throw in some new twists and such. A heed of warning before starting a new one is to make it different. So many sim leagues offer the same ideas now that it's getting redundant. Although, it is up to you but I feel alot of people from here would join your (and Pens?) new league - Whatever setup it is.

This has been brought up numerous times and shot down over and over again, not sure why it keeps coming up.
Parity is NOT a concern here. Go to the Cup winners and see if you can pick out any dynasties or teams that were predictable winners.

We worked hard for the teams we have right now, and then to lose it all for nothing, and then get a bunch of random players, it's no fun. IF this were to ever happen, I'd want to pick my players. I did a random fantasy draft league with Devils' league, and it was cool because I hadn't worked for 15 seasons to put my team together.
