I would like to see it where a Bid of an 84and82 beats a bid of 85and80 that the bid is the total of the two players. That would give the lower teams in some cases a chance of getting some Higher Rated players. A small chance but achance

Interesting.. Not against it really. Worth a try.
Would be best to implement this next season imo.

But also how far off can the bids be?
I mean would two 75's beat an 84 in a bid for an 85 player?
Or would we draw the line at a 1 or 2 difference? Or does this only apply to 2 player bids?

I would be easy enough for a buy to add a player to beat the two 75's

right now the top teams get to bid on the top players until we get down to the ones they threw away and eventually the bottom teams getn to improve alittle

I'm totally for this! Speaking as one of the lower teams, the current format really does not allow us any opportunity to acquire much above an 80-ish player, if that, to help improve our teams, especially when the guy who bids after you has an 87+player that he's willing to part with to trump your 86 + 79 bid. Glad someone mentioned it, Jackets... Cheers.

Yes it is almost impossible for me aswell. I know I have a top team but my highest player is an 86

Something with averages?
so a 84/82 beats a 86/79
No problem with that. What ever helps out lower teams more, but as we can see rating aren't everything. My team has some great players, still a terrible team.

I was thinking the total of the two players

I would say the average would be a better bet. because of this
you bid 88 G for a 89 G
last second someone bids a 74 G and a 60 LW and beats your bid.

that pretty much leaves it the same as it is. The best teams can get better while the lower teams get to pick up what's left

But still theres a reason why the better teams are better. The Gm actually worked to get talent, while if this were to happen, all the crappy teams could easily grab talent for crap.
