I liked my whole team as Carolina. A lot. I just cannot stand the damned Hurricanes, so I needed a change. (I also gave up a protect slot to keep Forsberg when I took over in Philly too) I like players I like

I still don't like the players ending up in Carolina.
Philly is getting two really good "potential" players in Fowler and Lack. Most likely going up in rating.
Meanwhile, Gaborik is most likely going to go down in rating. Anderson is decent but him and Potvin are the same. For the sake of argument, Gaborik and Hull also cancel out here.
Yes, you're taking on Liles and a few others scrubs but those are just depth pieces. Tlusty is nice but he's not on the same level that Lack and Fowler are. I think if you take out either one (or both) of Fowler and Lack, I'd be more willing to accept. Or, give up better "potential" guys to Carolina.

In 3-4 seasons (6-7 real months) he goes up to 86? 87? Carolina has another starting goalie in Ron Hextall. They have a decent back up in Anderson, and they have Thomas Vokoun. Sure, some overalls will change, but I think it's kind of silly to lock up all No-GM trades simply because of hypotheticals based on players that have no impact on the team now, nor when the new game comes out (in many seasons). Like the other trade, this one clearly feeds Carolina's needs (defence) while taking from their surplus (goaltending) and this time I didn't even ask for an 86 in return.

I was thinking like 80-81 lol. This goalie logic is classic Mike Gillis, if you keep doing that, you'll go from Luongo and Schneider to Markstrom and Lack! But seriously, I'm more focused on the top pieces, which matter most, which still haven't changed. So it's still a no from me.

You need 2 admins to accept a No-GM trade but Isles rejected.
