Ottawa still loses all these players to the draft Cor. Try adding in Toews into the deal if you want their top players.

lol add Toews is better then every player?
I am giving top players for top players, improving their D, giving them overalls, and the positions all matchup.
Position for Position, Overalls are in their favor. Should be a good deal. If not, then I have no clue what you guys expect.

They downgrade their top players, they upgrade the guys that go into the draft. That is pointless for them.

Okay, I'm losing players I am getting as well.
In this league you lose players every season, there is no reason a deal should be rejected because some of the pieces are going to be lost.
It isn't a "88 for 83 and 84" deal where the team ends up getting nothing.
They get much better depth players for the season, without giving up anything at all really. (1 overall on 2 players isn't that much). As a team that mad the playoffs last season, this will help them go farther in the playoffs.
Unless you want me to add in 80 for 78 swaps so the upgrades they are getting aren't going into the draft, but instead are insignificant, then I can do that.
Also, I am giving them 2 overalls, which should off-set the fact that Goligoski and Schultz *may* go into the draft.

I accept.
I understand the need to protect open teams, but it's the very beginning of the season. If we cannot trade 83s to teams in October, when they have that upgrade for the whole season, we might as well say you can only ever No-GM trade 88+ players and 80- players. It creates a huge problem with the system if you can't make ratings-even trades at the beginning of the season because of what will happen at the end of the season. Ottawa still gets a season of those players, which are still substantial upgrades.

My one beef is Ott getting 2 top C's back instead of another top winger.
However, it's pretty fair so I accept.

I look at this if I'm Ottawa's GM and I go, okay I have two 88 SNP wingers which my team relies on to produce. My next best SNP is a 79 C. After this deal, I now have a 87 LW SNP.
How does that help me?

My reasoning for my accept is cause you upgrade 4 overalls on D (2 per player). Pens said depth matters, so this definitely helps Ottawa. Plus, realistically, with our target demographic, you are more likely to fill a team with Goulet/Carbonneau/Turgeon than Larionov, Krutov and Makarov.

I will accept as all 6 players would probably more desirable to a new GM

I think the process of this trade will be interesting moving forward for everyone else looking at possibly making these kinds of trades, and my comment here is not to disrupt the process, but more of a question in relation to the trade as Isles has concerns over it: Aren't the players that the Yotes are getting back on the bottom end also going into the draft anyway? I think this kind of trade sort of brings to light the minor issues that have to do with the keeper-draft formula, but by the logic of rejecting this trade, its suggesting that any player rated under an 87 is by all standards useless to the entire site, as no matter who they are you will lose them. I think thats been my problem in trying to build a team, and others in their lack of interest (though in large part that has happily been returning to this site I just worry that by putting so much consideration into the bottom end players on any trade might make pretty much any trade in which someone downgrades at a position a pointless trade by that philosophy.

yes, you still have to focus on trying to win in any year and I believe the draft is all part of that process if people pay attention or have the game themselves. I will give anybody any info they want on players

I don't think that really answered anything I asked, but it is very nice of you to offer player info for those looking for more in depth scouting.
