iPhone 5, only 16 GB though, wish I got the 32 GB, oh well. Tinder is great. Bell - I don't like them but they all suck Tinder is such a flop for me. Most chicks end up being goofs and don't even want to go on a date. I mean, a date! I don't even want to bang you yet.

Don't blame tinder, blame your ugliness. Now that's something God can't fix lol

Gaming systems like N64 is different. With tablets/phones it is more than just games. You teach them to have technology do things for you, rather than the old fashioned way like we did when we were younger. I believe in the whole "technology is making society dumber" argument because they just make our lives easier and while there are benefits to it, making kids at an early age rely on technology isn't right and they should be growing up and learning things through practical means. Learn by doing. Technology is not only electronics. Technology is newpapers etc, As Canes said, I don't see a problem with it if you monitor it, which was done with me. And what do you mean the way we did it? I don't remember doing anything but playing hockey, soccer, video games and fighting kids when I was young hahaha

I don't remember doing anything but playing hockey, soccer, video games and fighting kids when I was young hahaha I'm talking strictly tablets/phones, like I said in a previous post. I'm not against it, but when parents are buying you your own tablet at age six, you put them in a different mindset as to how they approach situations and it also affects their thought process. A kid who used a tablet at age six approaches a solution to something with less creativity and thought simply because they were exposed to tech early that did things for them (something as simple as autocorrect assisting you). That is just my view on it, and it doesn't mean I'm against technology for young kids. I agree it should be controlled, but don't give your child a tablet and give them full exposure to it. Sorry for going on about it, I wrote an essay on this not long ago lol.

But what did we do that's so different?
A tablet is literally the N64 of 2013 or a computer. I'm not saying they should be around it non stop, but it really is the same thing.
I feel its more just finger pointing. "Yeah its the tablet's fault why my kid is lazy"

Here's another thing I have found with my 5 year old and letting her play with a tablet. We drive a lot, so she often plays with it in the car. But that means that she has grown accustomed to having that constantly accessible form of digital entertainment. So, without it, she gets bored fast. So now, I am making her do more "nothing" so that her brain will start to develop coping mechanisms for boredom. Because if all you ever have is a barrage of entertainment, that part of your brain will obviously underdevelop.
It's not the device's fault, it's how you use it. I feel it's important to recognize when it gets in the way of important development and to draw lines.

I had to do stuff like 20 mins of piano = 1 hour of video games on top of the 30 mins I always get. So I usually got an hour and a half and played piano every day

Nexus 5 yo, it's amazing, absolutely love it. Switched to Telus when I got it in early December, no complaints so far.

Haha I don't try and date them haha Well mine clearly never want to end up becoming fuck buddies so I tried setting up lil' dates and what not which didn't work. Flops man, they're too young. Maybe the 25 year olds would be more willing. POF is better for that stuff haha.

I'm lucky cuz I'm in uni, so its kinda like, lets meet at the bar that we both were planning on going to anyways, expect one that just showed up to my house haha, that was kinda weird. I've only met her off it though and planning too with another during Frost.
