I know this isn't the right board for this, but I didn't want to bury the Keeper List submission thread in announcements (get those in if you haven't )
As you probably do (or should) know, within the next few weeks Proboards is upgrading all of its forums to Proboards v5. To prepare for this, in about a week's time, we'll be doing a controlled upgrade to v5, rather than Proboards doing it randomly mid-season or something when we are not ready for a smooth change.
We will be doing the upgrade manually within the next few days (hopefully no later than the 23rd), so expect that.
Generally, the transition is smooth, and I believe most of you are on other sites that use v5 anyway, so this will not be a big deal for you. But if not, a few heads-ups.
The most common complaint I've heard is people having problems signing in once the change-over happens. This is rare, but has happened in the past. To cover for this, we'll set the site up so that you are not forced to log in to post, and have a board for anyone having problems. That way, if by some off-chance you are having problems, we can walk you through it, and you will not simply be locked out.
Unless they fixed it, there is this odd sign-in phase where you need to link your EA NHL Simulation user name to your email address - this links all of your Proboards accounts together. Again, usually very smooth, but like 1 in 10 people have had a problem in the past.
A few friendly tips:
- If you are having trouble signing in with your user name, try your email address.
- If links, or images, or other site things look or act weird, let Hurricanes know, and we'll get it fixed up as soon as possible. There are very small code changes that change how the site looks and behaves when it changes over.
Proboards v5 is powerful, and user friendly. It may time a few days to get used to, but when you do, it's awesome We look forward to this new and exciting phase of EA NHL Simulation, and are excited to share another 30+ EA seasons with you!
Questions, comments, concerns, post below.
