Last year's draft attendance was a joke. There is no getting around that. We need our members to attend or send a list. Previously, if you didn't send a list, you risk the possibility of losing your team. That concept has somewhat faded away and some feel they can ignore the draft without consequences. I understand everyone is busy, but as some have said, it literally takes three seconds to let us know if you are going to be here or not. There were some exceptions to this with some members having a family issues which is obviously understandable, but that was not the problem with majority of members.
Thus, we have reached this point where the punishment needs to be increased in order to increase activity.
Here are our options:
*Please Note* If teams do not have a GM, this does not apply to them
Option 1 - If you miss the draft without sending a list, you are skipped until the end of the round. Best player is then taken after those in attendance and with lists have selected.
Option 2 - If you miss the draft without sending a list, you are skipped until the end of the round. Best player is then taken after those in attendance and with lists have selected. This only is implemented for Round 1.
Option 3 - You are no longer auto'ed with the best player available, now you receive one overall lower. Example, MacKinnon 83 is available, you will receive fattymcfuck 82.
Option 4 - All of your picks are skipped, including for the bonus rounds (please note rounds is plural), then we will hold another 'mini' draft for those who skipped with what's left.
Option 5 - No change *please note* If this wins and nothing changes, there won't be a poll next time.
Or Other - Let's hear one of your suggestions. If need be, we will hold another poll. If you select other, we want to hear what you have to say in the comments below.
