Here it is, we are revisiting the poll we held last year. Now that we have a bit better of an understanding of what the options are and are no longer in a huge rush before a brand new game, let's see what people think.
Here are the three options:
1. 6 Keepers lose 6 players. Players 1, 3-6 go into the draft, while player 2 goes into auctions. This happens for the upcoming draft.
2. 6 Keepers, lose 7 players. Players 1, 3-7 go into the draft, while player 2 goes into auctions. We introduce a 6th round pick for this special draft. Basically making it have one special first round, then the usual players in the next 5. This happens for the upcoming draft.
3. Same concept every year.
There are three reasons why this change would be beneficial. One, it's something fresh and shakes up the rosters a bit more. Two, makes the drafts stronger, especially for the new game. Three, less legends enter the league. We are clearly running out of options for legends and they constantly lesser and lesser. It'll get to the point where 88s are on everyone's third line if we keep going like this, making this league no longer relevant to today's players. Having this change will allow us to hold some of these players out for some seasons and bring them in periodically for the 'top' players that season. This does not mean we no longer will introduce new legends, it just means that there will be less of them.
*Please Note* if option 3 wins without a majority, another poll will be held with the 2nd place option.

Before this, I think we should have a vote to see if having deep teams of 85-87 overalls bothers the majority of people. I know for me, the fun of having legends is having them - i don't give an ape's left asscheek if they don't perform, so it would not bug me if we bought in inferior legends (like McSorely, Sandstrom, Samuelsson, K. Stevens etc) and made them lower. The more variety out there, the more fun. We see lots of teams here with lots of builds. Some all-legends, some all-current guys.
I think the league is "running out of legends" because the same 5 people are the ones thinking up the legends. Kruze had some decent names (NOT Berard, wtf? lol) but some guys. Again, a legend can still be 85s and be really cool to have on your team. Gives people more ways to build a team. Overalls are not everything.
But more to the point, my suggestion for a poll on that first is simple - If the legend problem is not a problem, then we don't need this poll to fix a problem that doesn't exist.

I agree with all of this except about Berard. Fella had an extremely great career despite the eye injury.

I tried to fix the problems i found here, but people don't want change. I think having public discussions about legends would be fun each season though, if we are including like..."lesser" legends. That will put some more life into the league I think. Everyone has opinions on legends!

I mean, quite a few of the mods were for it as a way to increase activity.

We'll be holding another final poll since 3 ppl voted for 5 picks this year. Since technically 12 are for change, will will give those another chance. I'll get it up later tonight or sometime tomorrow.
