GMs, it's that time of the year again, the trade deadline is upon us. The trade deadline in the game is March 4th.
This Saturday, August 17th, at 8:00 p.m. EST (5:00 p.m. PST), the final auctions of the year will end. After that, you will have four more hours to negotiate and post trades, until the trade deadline at 12:00 a.m. (Midnight) EST (9:00 p.m. PST).
If your trade is still in pending when the deadline hits, don't worry, it will still be reviewed by league staff before simming resumes. 12:00 a.m. EST is only the deadline for posting trades, but trades can be posted after the deadline before simming resumes in extraordinary circumstances only (Pens and I will have the final say on rare situations such as these).
If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to let Pens or myself know.

Am I the only one that thinks the four hours are pretty much no time at all for people to get final negotiations done for the deadline, especially on a Saturday?

I has always been that way for 29 previous seasons

Probably explains why I never make a trade on the deadline. I'll just hope I win auctions and not bother.

Today is the 14th. It's officially over on the 18th, that is plenty time. The auctions barely affect that many teams and 4 hours is plenty if it's truly a gamebreaker.
