www.eanhlsimulation.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=faauctions&action=display&thread=41066&page=1I think this auction should be reviewed. Buffalo's initial bid was yelled at by staff, then the eventual winning bid was actually less than what Buffalo was trying to bid to win the auction. He kinda got scammed big time there. (And I think in part because of a trade he tried to make with me earlier on this site, that is why I am stuffing my nose in this - I feel somewhat responsible for this).

If only everybody would have just shut up and let things happen. There is a difference between auctions and trades , but everybody had to keep bringing it up over and over.

we can govern trades, but what a guys wants to do in auction is totally up to him. People just woudn't let it die. On both sides. Just like children. Well guess what children, grow up or I am taking my ball and going home LOL

An 88/85 for an 89 is fine (especially when that 85 will likely go down in NHL 14 [which is only a season or two away])
I'm not sure why people made such a big stink about it. It was manly the mods, that for some reason are trying to control the auctions.
Florida bid an 88 on an 82, and everyone laughed, but it wasn't a problem.
The mods need to relax... unless Pens or JM has a problem with it, shut the fuck up

I don't mean to rail on you JM because it was hardly your fault, but it would've been cool to just clarify it before auctions were done.
Whatever happened happened, so we should move on from it at the end of the day.

I had said it a million times. Everybody chose to ignore me and come up with there own rules on it. Everybody needed to shut up and quit adding there own versions to it. Everybody wants to change the rules when it doesn't suit them and that is where the confusion lies. I guess this will a be very long Season 29 at this rate. Whe it is a new review or a new rule change everyday? Well lets take acouple days to ponder this one then LOL

Yes, there is double standards. One is auction and one is trade. They are two totally different things and always will be as long as I am simming anyway. When we come up with another simmer and new Admin, maybe things like that will change. Until then, I just don't see it happening. Like they say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". I change in things carries way more risk than the status quo. Here was my statement when they tried to change the rules for the Richter auction

What Canes was trying to get at (I think) is that Buffalo had bid an 88 and an 83, and I won the auction with a lesser bid, so his bid should still count despite the mods bashing everyone in that thread. If you honestly feel anyone can bid whatever they want, they he won and not me, though it's possible you didn't see his bid because it was buried by hundreds of complaints from your staff.
I believe that's all 'Canes was trying to get Cook to look at was Buffalo's 88 and 83 bid, which according to the current results was a losing bid despite being the highest. This thread isn't an attack, it's just putting that info out there since all of that is buried by nonsense.

his bid isn't there anymore. he removed it with all the debating on the subject. That's not right. He clearly removed it because staff yelled at him for it. But at least Mike has the guy now, so I can just harass him to trade him to Buffalo so the right thing gets done here.

I don't see anything moving forward anyway. I'm not going to waste my time when every decision just ends up in a debate.
