I have 2.
The first one is simple - before this keeper nonsense, I was able to build a team of players I wanted. A whole team of them! It was awesome. We won the Cup as an added Bonus. Captain Joe Sakic, Ovechkin, Selanne, Wolski, Svatos, the whole awesome crew that I tried for on every site I was on.
The second one is actually the dawn of this site. The old admin of the site that came before this was a doucheberry, and was neglecting his site and his duties. So Quinn (an admin at the old site) and Cook (the simmer there) started a small, secret mutiny to build this site and swing everyone there over here.
As this site was almost done, Quinn told me about this scheme (which I loved) and I popped on the old site to troll the douchberry admin.
So I PM the guy, saying shit like, "Your site is about to be swept right out form under your nose, and you don't even know its coming" and "The end is nigh" and shit like that. Being an arrogant ass, he keeps telling me I don't know shit, and he is too cool to lose his site. And I mean, fair enough. What else do you think when some stranger comes onto your site who you have never talked to and tells you its about to be taken away?
But it was perfect. Cook and Quinn sweep through and take everyone over to this site (so they can actually run a solid ship) and the original admin was all like, "What the fuck? Why did this strange man just warn me of impending doom? AND WHY DIDN'T I BELIEVE HIM? NOW I HAVE LOST IT ALLLLL!!!!"
He may have killed himself thereafter. I will never know. But I love that story. Such a beautiful origins story to a sim site
