RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

THE DETAILS
- Basically, it's a 20 round fantasy draft (SERPENTINE) where contestants must assemble a team of 12 forwards, 6 defencemen, and 2 goalies in order to make the best possible team.
- However, it's not based off who picks the best players, it's who makes the best team. Once teams are assembled, a sim will be done on NHL 11 to find the winner, so keep that in mind when picking your team.
-Injuries are going to be turned off.

THE RULES
- There are no trades. If we had more time, there would be no problems, but the draft will take a good chunk of time, so I think it would be better to leave trades out of it.
- The draft will be active from 12:00 AM - 12:00 PM on weekdays, and 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on weekends. This doesn't mean you can't make picks outside of these time frames, but if we end up using the clock, these are the times the clock will be in effect.
- To start, there won't be a clock, but if the majority wants to bring the clock in, we will do so. If the clock is in play, each person will have 4 hours to make their selection. If they miss this interval, they will be skipped. If you are skipped, you can make that selection the next time you come on.
- You many only select players that played last season, 2010-11, in the NHL. They must have played 1 regular season game. No retired players, no players in the junior leagues, no players playing in Europe.

THE ADVICE
- If you are in this competition, but you fear that you may not be on in time to make your pick(s), please send me a list of players you want me to draft for you(in order of preference)
- Please read the rules carefully about how you should draft your team

THE SALARY CAP
- $64,300,000
- You will use players' cap number from this past year (even if they're an impending UFA) which would be 2010/11.
- Salaries will be prorated
- Bonuses DO NOT count.
- PLEASE ONLY USE CAP GEEK FOR SALARIES. When salaries are totaled at the end, cap geek will be used. www.capgeek.com
- Please keep track of your team and your salary cap. I won't be keeping track of either during the draft, but at the conclusion, I will tally up everybody's cap to make sure they are under. If you are over at the end of the draft, you will be disqualified and that team will be replaced by a junior team.

THE PRIZES
- The winner will receive, bragging rights! Not really anything else we can hand out here.

HOW THE SIMS WORK
First off, I will end up making the 9 teams once the draft is done. I will sim a season with the 9 teams subbed in for other teams using probably the OHL. Not sure which league I will use yet, but it won't be the NHL. That is just to give us rankings for each team. Once the ranking are figured out, I will do a tournament. Again, since we only have 9 teams, I'm not sure how many team we will use for the tourny, but I'm thinking 12, so 3 junior league teams will most likely be added. I'll probably end up doing 3 round robin games, and then the regular tournament rounds to follow. When we are in tournament mode, I will be posting the box scores.
