Just my opinion on all this riot crap. Those people weren't "true fans of hockey." The true fans were the ones that applauded when Vancouver Native Milan Lucic raised the cup. To be honest I wasn't pissed when I saw him raise the cup. The ones who applauded Chara and Thomas. Now me personally would probably boo a little bit or not do anything. But the ones throwing beer on the ice are just showing that they are sore losers.
The riot in my opinion was going to happen no matter what. Everyone I talked to that day of the game said "Let's go downtown and see the riot!" Many people were saying it's going to happen no matter what. And I wasn't surprised when I saw it start.
Those rioters wearing Canucks jerseys weren't true fans, by true, I don't mean they are worse fans than me. All thugs and criminals feel more tough and confident to cause mischief when in large crowds because it lessens the chance of them getting caught/arrested. There were 100,000 people outside Rogers Arena. I don't think there was ever close to that many in any other game during the playoffs. I'm thinking there was around 50,000 during every other game? I'm probably mistaken though...
Another thing, there were a lot of people that were just drunk, and were not criminals but still got involved. My friend's older brother had a clear picture taken of him punching a police officer. And I knew him and he was a cool guy, wasn't a criminal or anything. But in the heat of the moment you just react and not think. Now the guy had to delete his Facebook account and probably lost his job. Many of these people that took part in the riot, if not all, will regret it sometime in their life.

So the moral of this story is...Vancouver players will take pay-cuts to stay here

So the moral of this story is...Vancouver players will take pay-cuts to stay here Let's all hope Nucks. Flyers Vancouver's chances of gaining Stanley are better than Toronto's chances of even winning the cup.

Saying ha vancouver win, yet not saying ha about the leafs making it to the finals lol. Good ol' comedy. Unless I'm totally wrong and flyers was making an insult....then i'm waaaay off.

If everyone knew Bob Ewing was evil, they wouldn't have convicted Tom. Everyone blamed Tom because he was black, it was Atticus that saw Tom was innocent and knew Bob was at fault.* Boom. *I read the book in grade 9, so I could be wrong (which is completely possible, even though I'm 98% certain that's how it went) . Everyone knew ewell was evil, Atticus felt bad for him. No one knows why I know I read it a few years ago, but I don't remember everyone knowing Ewell was evil, I still don't buy that.
