The Off-Season
So Me and my scout watch the prospects game and we find 5 players to target;
D Gabriel Verpaelst (3rd Round)
LW Brock McGinn (3rd Round)
C Alex Galchenyuk (1st/2nd Round)
D Damon Severson (Top 5)
C Frederick Gamelin (2nd/3rd Round)
I decide not to shop anybody and just take offers this year.
STL offers me Jan Hejda for Tomas Fleischmann (I reject)
52nd Overall Pick: Frederick Gamelin, PLY C, Canadian
60th Overall Pick: EDtienne Marcoux, HYB G, Canadian
No Offers
90th Overall Pick: Seth Swenson, TWF RW, USA
No Offers
120th Overall Pick: Vladislav Namestnikov, SNP RW, Russia
No Offers
150th Overall Pick: Derek Mathers, TGH RW, Canadian
I trade my 5th and 6th Round Picks to Toronto for their 5th next season.
I Resign, Duchene, Hedman, Kempny, Downie and some minor leaguers
I let Ivanans, Kostopoulos, Liles, Cann, Yip, Gleason and Johnson all walk.
I Tender Ryan O'Reilly because he wants 3.5 and he's an 80 :/
Needs:
Center (80-82)
Goalie (73-78)
Defense (81-83)
Defense (83-86)
I Trade O'Reilly and a 2014 2nd to Toronto for Nazem Kadri (Scratch the Center)
I offer Tim Gleason a contract, and Jason Missiaen a contract, (scratch the defense(81-83) and the goalie if they both sign)
Both Free Agents sign with me, which leaves me with about 5.2 to find a 83-86 d-man.
CGY offers me a 2013 1st and Andrew Campbell for T.J Galiardi and a 6th and 7th in 2013... I accept as it gives me more room to get the D-Man.
I offer Mike Green a contract. He accepts for an 8 year deal worth 5.9 per. I'm left with 1.75 to sign some prospects.
Only one guys catches my eye, I sign Jeff Cygan to a ELC.
I head into the pre-season with this line-up:
