Well we're back with some more intervies after a bit of a break. I talked with Cor in this interview. Enjoy. Don't leave too much hate mail, I'm rusty.
Q - You recently traded your best center (Gilmour) to get a highely wanted Phil Kessel. Why was this?
A - Everyone in the league knows that I love Gilmour's game, his leadership qualities and everything around him, he was my captain and for many season's I stood by my word and said I wasn't trading Dougy. Columbus then approached me with an offer I felt would help my team for the better. Phil has put new life into this team, Theo (Fleury) and Taylor (Hall) for the most part. If we had the opportunity to get Gilmour and Kessel on the same line I would love to have it.
Q - You're team has a ton of former/current Maple Leafs on your roster, 10 to be exact? Since none of these former maple leafs are ones that won cups in TO, are you trying to immate the team that has finished 9th the most since the lockout?
A - To be honest I don't really look at what teams players have played on before, it's the fact that they are Calgary Flames. Oh, and the fact I've made the playoffs all but once in my time in Calgary with 6 or 7 o these "former leafs" I'm not worrying to much.
Q - It is apparent that you're team still needs a bit of work, your goaltending is great, defense is alright, and other then Fleury and Kessel, you don't have any 'standouts'. What do you plan to do to fix this?
A - Our goaltending is great, I think our D is set for right now and the future, and our forwards could use a bit of role players and a couple of moves. One thing I'm big on is having a true enforcer, right now we don't have one, Jamal (Mayers) is close but not a true tough guy, I think that will be our next move.
Q - You're playing in one of the best division in the league, how to you expect to do this year? What player will need to step up his game for you guys to have success?
A - I expect to be 1st or 2nd in this division, it's not up to one player to step up his game, our team has to elevate its game in order to have success. One thing that lead to us missing the playoffs was Ward's play last season, I told him that and he stepped up and is playing like he can again this season. Stempniak, Stalberg, Finger and Bozak are playing good and need to continue in order for our team to continue to have success.
Q - If you could make any realistic trade right now, who do you go out and get?
A - Like I said above, it would be a true enforcer, a guy like Belak, Boogard, Orr someone like that would do alot for this team.
Q - Well the wonderful sim league EANHLSIMULATION had a incident with a former member trying to come back, Once Again. We're you aware of this incident and there are rumors that you are 55887crosby aswell. Is this true?
A - (laughs) Who wasn't aware of this? I've said this many times and i'm sick of people accusing me of this, I'm not 55587crosby and I will never be him or anything like him.
I was actually joking I never knew anyone excused you of being him. Don't worry I've since both facebook pages. Espcially that wonderful MILF
Q - You won the 55887crosby award for many straight years, and then that wacko Kruze came in and took over that award. Now with him out of your way, do you plan to continue to compete for this award?
A - I don't know, you can't really compete for an award like this, it's a matter of opinion
Q - BTW are you a sloppy second?
A - That's my line, my lawyers will be in touch
