Alright, since the last thread went through about 7 pages of shit with our agreements scattered everywhere, here is a wrapup.
- 2010 Rookie Draft (upcoming draft) will be the final rookie draft, and from that point forward, all drafts will be done keeper-style.
- Each team will now own 5 picks per year with the new format (if you moved your 2011 or onward rookie pick, it counts as a 2nd, so if you traded it, at the end of the year you will only add a 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th to your page, and vice versa if you acquired one from someone else).
- After the conclusion of this season's Cup Final, we will officially go no-cap. Myself and Detroit will be having a short roster freeze (likely 1 or 2 days) in order to remove all salary stuff from rosters and post player types from NHL 09 on the rosters.
- Player Types in NHL 09, for those who don't know, are: PLY (Playmaker), PWF (Power Forward), SNP (Sniper), DNG (Dangler), OD (Offensive Defenseman), DD (Defensive Defenseman). Player types will not be added for goaltenders as it has no effect on the game.
- Free Agency will be replaced with Season-round (until the trade deadline) UFA auctions. If you have been in a no-cap league before, you will understand this system by heart. But if not, here it is. Rather than bidding cash for FAs, you will bid players for other players (the predictor guys from this season and 2 legends per auction will be used). Each set of auctions will go for 3 days (72 hours), and the team who bidded the highest rated player will swap the player they bidded for the auction player, and that player will be in the next auction, and so on (like a cycle). You can also bid a 2nd player to break a tie, but you cannot bid more than 2 players. If two people bid one player and they are tied in overall, the bidded player with the higher potential will be the winner. If 2 two-player bids are tied (example, 82 and a 74 vs. 82 and a 74), the team with the 82 that has the higher potential will win. If their potentials are tied, the team with the 74 that has the higher potential wins. If it is a complete tie all around, the player will be held over until the next round.
- Each season after the trade deadline, a thread requesting teams to post their keeper lists will be posted. More info about this will be posted at that time.
Aside from that, I think that is it. Anything else, ask here.
