Many people have noticed that the Edmonton Oilers are having a terrible season. A team that has finished in the playoffs for the past few years could land a top 5 pick this year, so what happened?
Edmonton Oilers GM Slasher2810 says he doesn't know; "We have a good group of guys here in Edmonton, and arguably two of the best players in Gaborik and Heatley, so I couldn't tell you what's going on." However he did say that a substantial offer was sent to Pittsburgh but was turned down, "HF101 has been bugging me about Fleury since I acquired him, so I sent him an offer which I thought would better both our teams, apparently he didn't think so."
Slasher closed out the press conference by stating changes will be made, whether that be trades or lineup modifications, "We've already moved some guys around, Reichel on the first line, Toews on the second, it just doesn't seem to be working, who knows maybe we'll play all of our tough guys and see if they can get something going, but I'm open to offers.'
