Lidstrom is rated 83. Niedermayer (on my team, on top D-man scoring list) is 82. Dmen are extremely valuable.

Not sure, but the highest rated Dman that is NOT created i think is 83 - Lidstrom and Pronger. If Im not mistaken that is, Pronger MIGHT be an 84. But thats the top rating for sure amongst Dmen, 83-84.
