I had Minny with me. We did interview. Here it is.
Hello Minny, thanks for being on the show.
The pleasure is mine.
Q - You are currently out of the playoffs, 3 spots out to be exact. WTF weren't you amazing like 2 years ago?
A - Haha, I wouldn't say I was ever amazing, but I use to be the team to beat in the Northwest. I'm not sure what happened, to be honest. I've tried everything to get this team back on track, but so far, nada. I have a deal in the works with Nashville that will bring some good solid, stay at home defenders to the Wild.
Q - Denis Pederson has been amazing for you so far, do you think he is a legit 1st line center for the wild?
A - Pederson has been one of the very few bright spots for this season. I don't think he is the#1 center this team needs, but he is more then qualified to be the 2nd line Center, and top line power play Center.
Q - You recently gave up starting goalie Nik Backstrom and someone else to the free agent auctions to get Vladislav Tretiak. Do you think Tretiak will be able to get you're team going?
A - That's the hope. Backstrom played.. admirably, and he certainly was better then Lundqvist... As I said earlier I'm hoping to bring in a couple stay at home D men to help Tretiak in the back end.
Q - You have been in two Stanley cup finals, with no ring coming out of it. How does that make you feel, all that effort just for some crappy conference champions trophy?
A - Ugh. It sucks, being so close. It wasn't even like they were one sided finals, both going to Game 7. Although I do think that the team that deserved to win, won, it doesn't make it any easier. It's nice to have gotten there though, to know what you're playing for.
Q - Like I asked Philly on my first show, you've been a GM here since the start. What do ya miss and what do ya like that's new.
A - What do I miss? Hmmm, you mean aside Petrov? Haha. I do miss the old Rookie Draft, that was always fun. What do I like that's new. Defiantly all these new GMs who have come out of nowhere and become main stays in this league. GMs like yourself and the Stars make this league that much more interesting (Along with all the originals of course)

) Q - You've also seen some great GMs retire and some crappy GMs get fired. Who do you wish was still here?
A - I can tell you who I wish WASN'T here haha. Who do I miss, well that's tough, the old Sabres GM and I were good friends, so I do miss having him around.
Q - How much do you miss you're old best friend Oleg (Petrov)? Have you talked to him lately?
A - Him and I talk all the time, although he still won't be persuaded to come out of retirement and join the Wild for one more time for another magical run.
