I've been thinking about his for a while now and finally decided to mention it. Due to the amount of all stars in the league now maybe we should change the keepers to 6 instead of 8 to make the draft more exciting and to give people a chance to get some stars. i know some of you guys have alot of stars so you may not want to do this but the best example Ive seen is Devils having Stamkos on his 4th line (no offense buddy just a perfect example). Every year we bring 5 Legends in and for the teams with no high players its hard to impossible for them to even bid on any of them. I just think it would be awesome if Stamkos was in the draft or other big names and it can give teams having trouble a fighting chance after the draft.
Opinions?

This has come up a few times, parity has never been an issue here. A new team wins it almost every year. Until one team starts winning Cups consistently I don't think this is a problem.

most of the time it isn't the stacked teams winning. If it was I think we would definitley have to figure something out or the league would calapse. Buffalo is 1st overall right now.

If we move it down to 6 they will make trades with those players intstead of loosing them for nothing they will trade them and get high picks in the deal to improve there teams anyway.

Stamkos may be my 4th highest center, doesn't mean hes on my 4th line. Players CAN play out of position.
Justin sayin.
I don't like 6 keeper idea, but maybe a one time 3 keeper year, get a major draft class going. Was going to suggest this after season 15 probably.

Yeah I was gonna say I was pretty sure Stamkos wasn't on your 4th line Anyways point is, parity is not a problem here as of yet, if a situation arises like the one described by Jackets then we will do what's necessary. Until then, this is a dead issue.

Yeah what Jersey said also. A onetime 5 keeper season something like that would be a quick fix. Don't know how much it would help though.

Oooh, I kinda like the one time big draft thing being tossed around.
As for the drafts themselves, you can usually get a few 84s, and if you use auctions correctly it takes no time at all to upgrade.

some guys are to lazy to use the auctions. Islanders, Carolina and my team have all been built through auctions. I have torn mine apart to help out new teams and rebuilt a few times
