Upon further review of this, it's confusing as fuck, and in my opinion will severly dillute the draft. This will be going to a poll.

Everyone agrees its a solid idea, one guy is unsure, suddenly its "confusing as fuck" - goes to poll WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION, and now its probably going to get shot down? That's a bit fishy to me Pens, especially after our conversation last night/earlier today....

it is confusing as fuck. and your all about people having a say and democracy. is anything more democratic then a vote?

if all sides are educated about it, then a vote is great. Just unsure why about 4 people loved it here and now there is only one vote for...that and another option was added that was never discussed to water down the "yes" side....

I voted for the option to protect 1 extra guy.
Other wise we'd get like 5 or 6 guys that don't have any picks because they're protecting their whole team, which defeats the purpose of the draft which is too even out the teams a bit.

taking players I like rated 75 is NOT going to make that much of a difference in a team's success....

Try and re-draft them.

But guys rated a 75 aren't likely going to be in the draft anyways, it'll probably mostly be 79-77ish guys.
I also don't see what's so fishy about it? This would also cause a fair amount of extra work because then Pittsy would have to keep track of who has picks, who has extra keepers, who kept who with their extra keepers, see what I mean, it does make it a bit more complicated.

I like the idea but it kinda defeats the purpose of the keeper draft, its what happens, you still keep your 8(i think) best or preferred guys but if we had a choice all the better teams woudl just keep their players and that would make the draft useless.

And my original complaint with this whole thing is, as I told Pitts on MSN, I don't give a shit AT ALL about winning. I just collect guys I like and thus do not want to lose anyone at all. I have offered to drop my entire team's overall by 10/player to avoid losing guys, but this silly little idea still seems to be everyone's preference....

See this is why you bother me, you don't like the idea, so suddenly it's a "silly little idea".
This is also why I say you bitch and complain so much, if it's everyone preference, then it's obviously not silly.
I voted that we could keep an extra keeper because I wanted YOU to atleast get something out of it, if I knew you were going to act like this again, I wouldn't have voted for that.
Seriously, if this league is ran so badly, just leave.

It's not that, it's the fact that all new ideas will have little errors in them that need to be ironed out. Thankfully, we have a full season to get on the same page. This is trial and error right now.

I don't need to discuss that here, I have already discussed it "civilly" and at length with Pittsburgh. He knows how I feel and knows the only reason its happening is not cause its best for the league, but because there are no other options.
