Activity is at an all time low here and seems that the interest in our style of simming has died after 5 years. I would like some imput on this or like to here that you guys still want this before I move on to the next season. There is a shit load of stuff that has to be done here to get ready for when Proboards switches us to there new style and it is going to have to be worth while to do this.

Yes, I think this setup is losing interest now

Well, we've tried to implement some new keeper ideas and very little response came of that. We tried to do what others have wanted but they seem to have just given up.
I'm not sure, obviously you don't want this to end. However, it does seem that sim leagues are somewhat of a dying breed. Those younger generations kids are probably too busy playing their little Xbox's to even care for this stuff.

I fought for GM Pro, and that was closed with more activity than what this site has now (to focus on this site, ironically enough). In the end, I think whatever you feel like doing is what will be done, and that's fair. I think the timing is a bad time to shut it down because you are looking at a) holidays so less activity, and b) early December so everyone is busy as fuck with exams and finals and stuff.
When you switch to new proboards, you can see a much simpler representation of activity. I think the "Last 24 hours" second is scary and misleading most of the time, becuase on new proboards you can see that though maybe only 10 people were on in the last 24 hours, perhaps 18 were on in the last 48, and maybe 20 in the last 72, etc.
I've volunteered endlessly to help with the transition to new proboards, and to do stuff around the site, and that was always pretty much shat upon. I don't know if I can contribute to the level I was prepared to then, but I am still an interested, active member of this site that would be unhappy if it closed.
I think engaging people (everyone, not just private staff talks) in legend discussions would help the site A LOT, as people feel they have contributed, and are not just sitting along on the staff ride.

I will add this though. When doing a "are we done", if we decide not to, then move on and let the topic die FAST, because doubting a site publicly (especially from admins) kills it faster than anything else does.

If we have 10 guys that want this to continue I will keep it going foresure. This site has saved my life more than a few times. I am all in and always have been. This is just as much a roll call as anything and asking for somemore input here. I will keep it alive as long as we have what it takes. This place is my life and has kept me going when I hurt the most. I guess I should have chosen a better title though LOL.

I'm here.
If people want to see changes (to promote activity) than start suggesting some.

Something I am gonna start doing on GMX is start and continually update a thread of attractive, scantily clad women. That should increase activity, should it not?

im in and why dont you after every month or after every season do an activity check to see who is here and who is not. You give them 48 hours to respond or they lose their team. That works very well in the new leagues.

Activity checks annoy people. I'm in, I still visit this site frequently, but I tried to spark some discussions a few weeks ago and no one seemed to want to engage.
Perhaps some sort of reward system for participation could go a long way as well, instead of predictions? More people will frequently post to carry on discussions than they will having to select teams and constantly be in the know and whatnot to try and be victorious over that.
Thoughts on that?

I doubt it's the style. It's just that there are more people leaving the sim league world than less people coming in. How about a fantasy draft and starting the rosters from scratch. Maybe have like teams keep 2-3 of their players and the rest all go into fantasy draft. I'm not sure if cap would work though. Negotiating with a PR takes quite some time and might dissuade people from putting in the time and effort to build a solid team so they might just quit. Either way, activity levels won't ever match the ones from 2007-2010 but having a fresh start might rejuvenate the league a bit and bring in some fresh blood. Or you guys could cut down on the teams from 30 to 25 and just keep everything the same.
