CHL & European Prospects
Notables: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Gabriel Landeskog, Jonathan Huberdeau, etc.
All junior prospects (CHL, Europe, etc.) will be re-rated by yours truly if they are in the game and will be created if they aren't as in years past. If a player who has been re-rated in past games by us spent last season playing pro (NHL or AHL) in real life, they will be receiving whatever rating they have in the game (guys like Taylor Hall, Tyler Seguin, Nazem Kadri, etc.).

Imo It's not really fair to have a guy like Nazem Kadri who will likely be a 77 remain that rating while you have guys who haven't even played a game and were drafted like 28th overall higher.
I'm not just saying this because I'm a Leafs fan and I don't even have Kadri, I just don't see that being fair, He wouldn't even play a game.

I guess that would be becuase Nazem has taken so long to make the NHL. A good AHL player should only be a 77. Any higher he would be in NHL. Right now he could be a lifetime AHL player. He has never shown anything accept in pre-season games.

If he makes the NHL this year he will probably go up in NHL13 if he stays in the NHL

I could understand if he was a top 2 or 3 pick. But he was 18th. There are alot of 18th overall players that never been anything in NHL

Yeah but the fact that you are making everyone else automatic who haven't even played an NHL game.

79/80 is hardly automatic.

For NHL 11 it was. Pretty much every rookie was a 79

So when Cody Hodgson is a 75, he's staying that right? Colten Teubert a 74, he's staying that, John Moore a 72, he's staying that.
Just wondering.

I can understand the need to change some overalls. I mean RNH, Landeskog, Huberdeau, Larsson, these guys are top picks that will undoubtedly see NHL minutes and EA Sports are pretty damn dumb when rating top rookies (how the heck does top players like Hall or RNH not get at least a 77 to start), but players picked 20th overall in the 2011 draft should not be re-rated (and if they are they should not be any higher than 75) since they will most likely not play an NHL game this upcoming season.
But since I dont have any of these players on my roster I don't really care either way. It's just my opinion.
