without creating Hall, Seguin etc. Its Ahonen or bust. Ahonen rips in this game.
Still cool, good job.

Koskinen setting up Kessel for snipes later on down the road would've been dirty. Baaaad choice.

Okay, time to re-sign my rookies and buyout players.
I buyout the following:
Rickard Wallin Jaime Lundmark Keith Primeau Jonas Frogren Jeff Finger
I resign all my rookies except for Chad Marsh and Peter Sagat
In free agency I sign one player, Henry Booth who is a left wing grinder.
I trade Luca Caputi to St. Louis for Christopher Wilson.
REGULAR SEASON
My lines are as follows:
Nik Kulemin - Mikhail Grabovski - Phil Kessel Viktor Stalberg - Tomas Fleischmann - Sergey Kozhanov Christopher Wilson - John Mitchell - Fredrick Sjostrom Keith Aucoin - Christian Hanson - Colton Orr
Dion Phaneuf - Tomas Kaberle Mike Komisarek - Francois Beachemin Luke Schenn - Mike Van Ryn
Jean- Sebastien Giguere Jonas Gustavsson
So throughout October we have a terrible month, finishing 3-9-0 (14th in East). I decide to give Giggy half a month to rebound.
Mid way through November we are 6-11-1, I'll give Giggy the rest of November. We finish November 9-14-2 (14th in East)
I decide a bit of a change is needed. I make Gustavsson and I call up Robert Slaney who is ppg in the AHL and send down Chris Wilson.
So during December we continue to fall in the standings. We finish the month 13-25-3 (15th in East)
I give my team half of January to regain momentum or there will be trades. The team gets to 17-27-5 and I decide a trade(s) is needed. I traded Tomas Kaberle and Dale Mitchell to Dallas for Thomas Vanek and Tyler Shelast.
I head to the Olympics by claiming Jeff Delauriers of waivers from EDM and a much-improved record of 24-29-8 (15th in East).

Okay, were at the Trade Deadline after losing to the Canes 4-1. I decide to shop Giggy , Sjostrom and Beachemin.
La offers Stoll and Scuderi for Giguere and Sjostrom. I turn it down for now.
Turning down the LA deal seemed to be a mistake as I was only able to claim Philip Gogulla off of waivers from Buffalo, oh well. I send down Slaney and keep Gogulla up with the team.
I end March with a record of 32-37-8 (15th in East).
I finish the season with a record of 35-39-8, 15th in the east and 26th overall.
Pheonix swept Flordia to win the cup while peroria won the Calder Cup.
Noteable Retirements:
Chris Chelios Kris Draper Ray Whitney Mark Reechi
