As you might expect, I was a little ticked to see when I logged on now that Boston had traded the same pick twice, and that Detroit had mistakenly traded a 5th next year while representing it as a 5th this season. Here is what happened:
- Boston originally traded his 3rd this season to Anaheim. Later, he traded it to Dallas. Anaheim did get it first, so he will have Boston's 3rd. However, Dallas will instead receive Boston's 4th round pick in the upcoming draft, along with Boston's 3rd round pick in next year's draft for being cheated out of the 3rd rounder.
- As for Detroit, the old GM acquired my 5th next season (not this year) from me, and I made a post on his draft pick page to that effect. For whatever reason, Wings thought that the 5th was for this season, and traded it to Phoenix representing it as my 5th THIS season (which I had traded to Carolina much earlier). Due to this miscue, Detroit will give up his 4th rounder this season to Phoenix (and Phoenix will get to keep my 5th next season, which he still technically acquired).
Boston and Detroit, consider yourselves warned. This type of incident is unacceptable in a league such as ours and will NOT be tolerated. Slip up again, and you can consider your time here to be done.

According to the keeper list, Colorado has BOS 4th this year.

This is absolutely ridiculous...
In that case, since Boston has no more picks (and I don't want to punish the new Bruins GM next year for the last one's stupidity), Dallas will get the player of his choice from the Predictor list at the end of this season.
Does anyone own one of Bruins' picks next year? Gotta see if he fucked up any more.

Instead of people moving up or getting extra picks, can we just make it so the pick that was dealt goes to both(all) teams, so if boston dealt his 3rd twice, the to people that have it get two pick at teh same time, not really fair for people to benefit from someone else stupidity. Hopefully that was clear. lol

and the team that fucked up would of course get a punishment fit to the situation.

and the team that fucked up would of course get a punishment fit to the situation. The teams have to give up a higher pick to the team that got victimized, that's the punishment (or in Allabouthockey's case, something more severe, the loss of his team for doing it 400 times)

but you shouldnt get anything from this, you are getting 30th spots higher or somebody else gains picks, that shouldnt be.
the teams taht traded for the pick should both be picking at the same position, and the team at fault should lose their picks.

The team that acquires a pick that doesn't belong to the team they acquired it from got taken advantage of. They should be eligible to some compensation, as far as I'm concerned this is fine.

Not all of them, this time it's my call. If you don't like it, that sucks, but I doubt we'll see something like this in the future now.
