Yea, I believe we should do the rookie draft then start the new season, no FA.
Then next off season have that keeper draft with 8 keepers of your choice and 1 player from each position, minus goaltenders, going into a 5 round draft.
Just my opinion.

What if we do the rookie draft, no FA then the keeper draft, but rookies drafted are automatic keepers?
2 drafts in one offseason, could be kinda hectic, but it makes it more fair for the people that traded away their rookie picks., because now they'll have all their picks for the keeper draft.

I like that idea.

I traded so much away for this fucking draft, and all of a sudden these big dumb ideas come up, there's no way I'm losing the top picks in the rookie draft for nothing.

My idea:
Do 1 More Rookie Draft for the 2010 Rookie Draft.
Then do regular offseason.
Do full normal season.
Following season eliminate the cap.
Do 5 round draft, and make all Rookie Picks dealt up to that point be 1st round picks, since they were acquired for players around 80. It's why the deals were claimed to be fair. Making them a 2nd round pick would also be fair, that way every team has their 1st round pick since they are losing high rated players, but making them 3rd rounders is not fair considering what was given up to get them.
So that's my call.

Let's just stick with the original plan. Rookie draft as planned this season, and then no-cap next season with a keeper draft.

Alright, but it's not fair to make the picks that were dealt for later drafts equal only a damn 3rd round pick. Come on now.

NOTE: 2011 ROOKIE PICKS WILL NOW BE EQUIVALENT TO A 2ND ROUND PICK. IF YOU TRADED YOURS, WHEN THE TIME COMES, ONLY ADD A 1ST, 3RD, 4TH AND 5TH TO YOUR ROSTER.

So do we need to re-sign players for this season?

I don't know. Wait for Pittsburgh to answer to that one

I still think we should just skip FA this year, do the rookie draft, jump straight into the season.

As I've said at least 20 times, NO, you don't need to re-sign your players, as there is no FA this season.

Pittsburgh, I just scanned through the whole thread, and not once did YOU say there is no FA.
So don't even get all frustrated at me for asking that.
