we could make rules that you only pick a goalie if you lost a goalie. No problem.

My Suggestion; Total of 8 Keepers; No Auto-Keepers; Protect Any Player, Any Position; Next Best 5 SKATERS + 1 Goalie Go Into Draft I totally agree with this, but I still think that giving up one player from each position, but save from any.

Also with what Det said, that's a great idea.

can't be one at each position and only do 5 though. We could say next best 5 but you can only loose one at any position.

if we're only giving up 5 players, why not give each team a list of 10 players (beyond the ones they chose to keep) and they chose between those 10 who to give up?

That works too actually, I like that idea a lot. (Detriot's Idea)

I just don't want to automatically be stripped of my guys, but I understand doing the draft.

Not a fan of this at all. What about just starting over the league with a fantasy draft?

There's no way we would start the league over.

If I understand you correctly, I don't like it. Do you mean that each team chooses their keepers and then from the rest left over, 10 players are put in a group and you need to decide which 5 your going to lose? That's what I got from it, let me know if I'm wrong. It needs to be the next best 5 into the draft IMO, otherwise the draft pool won't be that great and teams won't get better.

That is what I'm saying, I don't know, I'd like to be able to protet 7 or 8. I think that's more fair for the people that really built a main line and then have favorites on their 2nd and 3rd lines.

How about you can choose: next 5 highest at each position or next 5 highest overall!

What I hate about this is that people have dealt to get picks and gave up a lot of shit, like me, to get the top picks and now they're only going to be like a guy rated 78 at the most, compared to the top 5 in the drafts before who were like 80 to 81. Fucking sucks.

I think what Det said was you can save 8 players. The next 5 highest players, but not 2 of the same position.
So if you have like, an 81 G, 80 C, 79 C, 79 LW I tihnk you give up the 80 C and the 79 LW, if that makes sense lol.

That's what I want too, 8 Keepers. My Suggestion; Total of 8 Keepers; No Auto-Keepers; Protect Any Player, Any Position; Next Best 5 SKATERS + 1 Goalie Go Into Draft;
