You just referred to Oshawa as the "'Shwa". Everyone who lives near and around me does.

I agree St. Louis, it was a terrible pick. I've never been more upset with any other draft pick ever. Except when we drafted Wiercioch, I mean, no one's ever heard of him. And this year with Cowen, come on. We could have taken Kulikov, he's already in the NHL!!!1!!one!!1! Oh, and sarcasm applies here, to this whole paragraph. Very glad you added the last part - was about to rip you up. Haha, I'm very happy with all of those picks up until this point. I had a feeling Karlsson wouldn't be ready at the beginning of this year, player development sometimes takes a while. Both Karlsson and Wiercioch were supposed to be projects, so I'm content with how they're developing.

Sens will be fine with Karlsson, he's a great player. For all we know he may turn out better than MDZ, just because Del Zotto was ready before Karlsson doesn't mean shit.

Thank you. Del Zotto is doing very well, but you can never tell with prospects that young.

Dont get me wrong I think Karlsson will be a good defencemen I just think that Del Zotto will be a BETTER defenceman. Its not cause Del Zotto is NHL ready its beacuse he is NHL ready and is only getting better. He is thriving at his chance in the nhl and playing great hockey. Karlsson looked lost out there. He couldnt keep up yet and lets face it, his size will always be an issue on the back end. You can teach skill and development but not how to grow a foot taller and 50 pounds heavier, which is what we need on the back end.

Cowen, Wiercioch, Volchenkov, Kuba, Phillips. All 5 are over 6'3"(?). A Train, Phillips, Cowen are more physical. Kuba uses his body well to protect the puck, as does what I've seen from Wiercioch. Cowen and Wiercioch are both around 6'4"-6'5" as well.
Edit: I should also add that Karlsson may not be huge, but he's still a physical player. When paired with any of the other's he will be fine.

well I do agree that we got some big guys on the back end and with the recent play of carkner we just got a bit better but Karlsson is sooo short that he is going to have a real hard time handling any of the power fowards coming down his side. From what I have seen he is pretty good in the corners but he is always out sized and its going to constantly be a struggle for him. I mean I dont really know this is just my own opinion. I hope I am wrong and he winds up being another Zubov or Leetch but I am not expecting it.

I think Rafalski is a good comparison. Karlsson is (a generous) 5'11", he just needs to put on some more muscle.

Similar to how Kadri needs to put on muscle before he'll have a full time spot with the Leafs.
